Air Fryer Pork Chops — Juicy & Tender

Pork chops are one of the most forgiving proteins in the air fryer — they come out juicy with a golden crust in under 15 minutes. The USDA updated the safe internal temperature for pork to 145°F (63°C) with a 3-minute rest, which means you can enjoy pork chops that are slightly pink in the center and incredibly tender.

Thickness is everything with pork chops. A thin 1/2-inch chop cooks in half the time of a 1-inch cut, so always measure before setting your timer.

Pro Tips for Air Fryer Pork Chops

Brine for juiciness — Soak pork chops in salted water (1 tablespoon salt per cup of water) for 30 minutes before cooking. This is the single biggest improvement you can make.

145°F is the target — The old 160°F recommendation was updated by the USDA. At 145°F with a 3-minute rest, pork is safe and much juicier.

Oil and season generously — A light brush of oil plus salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika creates an incredible crust.

Rest before cutting — 3–5 minutes of resting after cooking lets juices redistribute. Cut too early and the juices run out onto the plate.
