Built Because I Got Tired of Googling the Same Thing Every Time I Cooked
AirFryerTimeAndTemp.com is a free, no-sign-up conversion calculator and cooking reference. No ads cluttering the page, no life story before the recipe — just the numbers you need, fast.
The Short Version
I'm Cameron, a second year university student from South Africa who got an airfryer and had to learn to cook when I moved out. I built this site in 2026 because every time I wanted to convert an oven recipe to air fryer settings, I had to scroll through a 2,000-word blog post to find a single number.
The conversion rule itself is simple — reduce temperature by 25°F and time by 20%. But different foods need slightly different treatment, and I kept forgetting the specifics for chicken thighs versus salmon versus frozen fries. So I built a calculator that does it instantly, added food-specific guides with the exact times I've tested, and put it online for anyone else who was tired of the same search.
47 food guides published, each with tested times and temperatures.
Why This Site Exists (and Why It's Free)
Most air fryer content online follows the same pattern: a personal anecdote, 800 words of background you didn't ask for, then the actual temperature buried halfway down the page. I wanted the opposite — a tool that gives you the answer in seconds, with detailed guides available if you want to go deeper.
The site is free to use. There's no login, no email gate, no app to download. This website is simply a tool I would have loved to have myself, but I've made it public for all to enjoy.
How the Calculator Works
The converter uses the standard air fryer conversion formula: reduce oven temperature by 25°F (about 15°C) and cooking time by roughly 20%. This serves only as a baseline. On top of that, it applies food specific adjustments: proteins like chicken get a slightly different treatment than delicate items like baked goods, and frozen foods account for the extra thaw time. The goal is to get you closer to the right setting on the first try, so you're checking doneness once instead of guessing.
The food-specific guides go further. Each one lists exact times for every common cut or preparation, bone-in versus boneless, fresh versus frozen, thick versus thin - with pro tips I've picked up from actually cooking these foods dozens of times.
